Carlo Matta

Carlo has more than twenty years of experience in the property industry. In 2009, he set up the property development firm Laurus Development Partners with private equity group Actis. He spent the last six years developing commercial properties in Ghana, Nigeria with an aggregate value of over $500M. 
Before establishing Laurus Development Partners, Carlo spent eight years with Hines and was Managing Director at Hines Europe where he was responsible for the development of Porta Nuova Garibaldi, Hines’ $1.2bn mixed-use scheme in Milan. Prior to Hines, Carlo was founder and principal of the most prominent architecture and project management firm in Vietnam. 
​He graduated from the School of Architecture in Turin and received an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
